This is a remote role based in Washington D.C.
Pay Range: $50/hr – $55/hr
Our client is looking for a part-time (20hrs/week) Project Manager.
Requirements:
Portfolio & Project Management
- Monitor portfolio of educational marketing projects to ensure alignment with processes and structures in the offices of the Levine Institute and Marketing and Communications.
- Develop, establish, and maintain project management standards, processes, and procedures for the portfolio.
- Monitor project performance, budget, schedule, and resource allocation across projects and advise on prioritization and overall project capacity in terms of staffing and resources.
- Work with project teams to anticipate, identify, communicate, and mitigate risks.
- Facilitate communication between project teams and key stakeholders regarding portfolio performance, risks, and key decisions. Synthesize updates, risks, needs, and strategic considerations into clear, actionable communications.
Project Management Consulting & Training
- Provide guidance to project teams while developing project management structures, processes, and workflows.
- Provide expertise to junior project managers to build and apply critical skills, including project management best practices, problem solving, leadership, and strategic thinking.
- Provide expertise on model project stewardship and communication strategies and provide guidance on workflow organization and improvements.
- Share expertise in project management tools and methodologies. Provide project management quality control for projects within the portfolio.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience as a project or portfolio manager in marketing, communications, and digital engagement operations.
- 5+ years of experience as a senior project or portfolio manager in managing marketing campaigns aimed at education audiences.
- 5+ years of experience planning and implementing email, social, and event campaigns aimed at education audiences.
- Professional experience managing a portfolio of projects between education and marketing teams within an organization.
- Experience advising project teams on best practices in educational marketing delivery.
- Experience on assessing and making recommendations on the allocation of resources.
- Excels at identifying and managing risks on interrelated projects.
- Strategic thinker skilled at providing strategic support to senior leadership of an organization and guiding timely decision-making.
- Skilled at facilitating communication, building trust, and establishing strategic alignment between two functional areas.
- Expert knowledge of marketing principles, analytics, digital platforms, and audience engagement strategies.
- Advanced proficiency utilizing Smartsheet for managing project portfolios.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools.
- Experience consulting organizations on the skill development of junior project managers specifically on educational marketing best practices.
- Knowledge of the Museum’s mission, educational programs, organizational structure, and audiences.
- Experience consulting organizations on the skill development of junior project managers.
- Experience advancing Smartsheet adoption and use by a project team or organization.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $50/hr – $55/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
