This role will manage the development and execution of localized device packaging and in-box publications across global markets. This is not a traditional UX product design role.
This position focuses on global packaging lifecycle management, creative execution, artwork approvals, and Release to Print processes. You will drive end-to-end packaging development—from intake and scope definition through final vendor delivery—ensuring quality, accuracy, and on-time execution for high-visibility product launches. This is a senior-level individual contributor role requiring strong cross-functional leadership without direct reports.
Location: San Francisco, CA (Remote – West Coast hours required)
**What You’ll Do:**
- Intake program requirements, define scope, and build detailed workback schedules
- Create and manage regional packaging program timelines
- Lead creative development for international packaging and in-box publication initiatives
- Partner with regional teams, third-party vendors, and suppliers
- Ensure accuracy in localized design direction, production specs, content, and artwork execution
- Drive artwork approvals with global stakeholders through Release to Print (RTP)
- Communicate schedules, risks, and next steps across cross-functional teams
- Deliver final print-ready files to vendors per established SOPs
- Proactively resolve issues and maintain quality standards in fast-paced environments
**Must-Have Qualifications:**
- 6+ years of program management experience in global packaging, publications development, manufacturing, or related discipline
- Demonstrated experience managing creative packaging programs across multiple regions
- Experience with creative development systems, packaging management systems, and/or proofing systems
- Strong understanding of localization workflows and artwork approval processes
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Strong ownership mindset with ability to drive deliverables independently

- Note: Candidates with primarily digital product UX design backgrounds without packaging experience will not be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in consumer electronics, hardware, or device manufacturing
