In this pivotal role, you will act as a trusted advisor and embedded security partner, bridging the gap between innovative business objectives and robust cybersecurity practices. You will be instrumental in protecting the integrity and security of next-generation financial products and services.

**What You’ll Do:**

* **Cybersecurity Governance & Business Alignment:** Serve as a key security partner for teams developing digital asset solutions, translating enterprise cybersecurity policies into actionable requirements and integrating security into product and operational strategies from the ground up.
* **Digital Asset Risk Assessments:** Lead comprehensive cybersecurity risk assessments for digital asset products, including custody models, wallet operations, blockchain integrations, and third-party vendors, evaluating risks related to private key management, smart contracts, and transaction processes.
* **Vendor Cybersecurity Oversight:** Manage the entire security risk lifecycle for digital asset vendors, from initial due diligence and contract negotiation to ongoing monitoring, ensuring robust contractual controls and driving the remediation of identified security findings.
* **Education, Policy, and Standards Enablement:** Educate business, engineering, and operations teams on secure practices and cybersecurity policies, developing specialized training and fostering a strong culture of security awareness.
* **Compliance, Audit, and Regulatory Support:** Coordinate internal and external audit activities, ensure the effective operation of controls, and support alignment with critical regulatory expectations.
* **Cyber Incident Preparedness & Response:** Collaborate with incident response teams to enhance preparedness for crypto-specific incidents, contributing to the development of playbooks for various digital asset-related security events.
* **Risk Reporting & Executive Communication:** Produce clear, business-focused reports on residual risk, vendor security posture, assessment outcomes, and audit findings, presenting key insights and recommendations to leadership.

**Must-Have Qualifications:**

* Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity or technology risk.
* Proven experience with digital assets, blockchain technology, or crypto custody/security.
* Familiarity with leading cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, and SOC 2.
* Exceptional communication and risk articulation skills, capable of engaging effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

**Nice-to-Have Qualifications:**

* Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CCSP, CISA, or similar.
* Specialized crypto-focused credentials or blockchain training.
* Knowledge of key management systems, smart contract risks, and cloud security principles.
* Experience utilizing Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platforms.
