This innovative company is at the forefront of leveraging AI to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency across its vast ecosystem. By joining their dynamic team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of how data empowers strategic initiatives, directly contributing to significant advancements in business performance and user experience.
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled engineer to join a pioneering team focused on developing an advanced AI-powered conversational agent. This tool is designed to provide intuitive access to complex performance data, empowering non-technical users to gain insights effortlessly. You will be instrumental in evolving an existing Minimum Viable Product (MVP) into a robust, scalable solution, directly impacting how our teams understand and act upon critical information. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a collaborative environment where innovation and continuous learning are at the core of every project.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate closely with our Data Science Advisor and existing AI Engineer to refine the conversational agent’s logic and optimize data retrieval methods.
- Lead technical exploration, evaluating and testing diverse approaches to enhance the agent’s capabilities, including expanding data scope, improving data summarization, and implementing advanced RAG-based systems.
- Drive the scaling of the MVP, transforming it from a basic data summary tool into a sophisticated system capable of handling increasing complexity and a wider array of performance metrics.
- Contribute actively to the team’s collective knowledge, helping to define best practices for integrating AI agents into core business workflows.
This is a 6-months fixed-term salaried position contracted via Aquent on behalf of our client as a third party. There is the possibility for extension.
Due to the contracting nature of this role, only candidates with unrestricted rights to work in The Netherlands will be considered.
Required Qualifications:
- Hands-on AI Engineering Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in Python and extensive experience with Large Language Model (LLM) orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar platforms.
- Data Fluency: Strong SQL skills and a proven ability to work effectively with pre-calculated datasets to ensure the delivery of accurate and reliable data summaries.
- Iterative Mindset: Experience thriving in exploratory development environments where objectives may evolve, coupled with a strong drive to build, test, and iterate rapidly.
- Experience working with business performance metrics or user behavior analytics data.
- Familiarity with designing and building user interfaces that simplify complex data for non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Collaborative Builder: Eagerness and ability to seamlessly integrate into an existing team, contributing immediately to a shared codebase and fostering a collaborative spirit.
- Practical AI Application: A track record of successfully transitioning LLM-based tools from initial prototypes or demos to reliable, production-ready applications.
- Discovery Mindset: Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive, inquisitive approach to problem-solving, consistently seeking the most effective path forward for complex challenges.
