This is a 6-months fixed term salaried position contracted via Aquent on behalf of our client as a third party. There is the possibility for extension. 

Due to the contracting nature of this role, only candidates with unrestricted rights to work in The Netherlands will be considered. 

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate with a diverse, cross-functional product team, including Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Machine Learning Engineers, Software Engineers, and UX Designers, to define complex problems and build impactful models.
• Utilize your deep expertise in recommendation systems to analyze vast datasets, identify intricate patterns, and generate innovative solutions that create tangible value for customers.
• Lead A/B testing initiatives from conception to execution, meticulously evaluating the performance of various machine learning models and iterating for continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the full end-to-end machine learning flow, from model development and deployment to monitoring and optimization in production environments.

What You’ll Bring:

• A strong, foundational grasp of statistics and the mathematical principles underpinning machine learning theories.
• Min. 7 years of hands-on experience developing and deploying machine learning solutions in production environments, preferably within the retail, e-commerce, or consumer goods sectors.
• A solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals and deep learning concepts.
• Strong programming proficiency in Python, coupled with a robust understanding of data manipulation using SQL.
• A proven track record of successfully deploying machine learning models into production, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end ML lifecycle.
• Deep understanding of A/B testing methodologies and their inherent limitations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective work with diverse, cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on experience with recommendation systems, reinforcement learning, and learn-to-rank algorithms.
• Experience working with major cloud platforms.
