Make a real difference in patients’ lives! As a UX Writer at a Fortune 500 healthcare company, you will play a critical role in shaping clear, compassionate, and compliant digital experiences for patients and healthcare professionals. You will help translate complex healthcare information into intuitive, user-centered language that supports patients throughout their journey.
Working within a highly collaborative, cross-functional team, you’ll contribute to the design of connected portal experiences for innovative medicines—ensuring content is consistent, accessible, and aligned with regulatory requirements.
This exciting role offers the chance to:
- Improve patient support programs through thoughtful, human-centered content design.
- Shape portal experiences with clear, consistent, and compliant UX copy.
- Collaborate with designers, researchers, marketers, and legal/medical reviewers in a regulated healthcare environment.
- Help define how patients and providers interact with critical healthcare information.
As a UX Writer, you will:
- Support patient and provider portal experiences by writing clear, consistent, and user-centered UX copy.
- Audit existing portal content to assess clarity, tone, consistency, and compliance.
- Provide recommendations and write new copy for future-state experiences.
- Develop and maintain consistent language patterns, terminology, and content standards across the portal.
- Partner closely with product designers and researchers to ensure content supports usability and user needs.
- Work collaboratively with marketing teams to align UX content with brand and communication strategies.
- Navigate approval workflows, including legal, regulatory, and medical review (e.g., Alexa approval).
- Translate complex, technical, or regulated healthcare information into plain, empathetic language.
- Provide content guidance and documentation as a UX-focused technical writer.
- Help maintain momentum across projects, ensuring content is delivered on time and meets quality standards.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a UX Writer, UX Content Designer, or UX Technical Writer.
- Experience working on portal-based digital products or complex systems.
- Background in healthcare, patient support programs, or other regulated industries.
- Strong ability to audit existing content and make strategic recommendations for improvement.
- Experience writing content that requires legal, regulatory, or medical approval.
- Excellent collaboration skills, especially when working with designers, researchers, marketers, and compliance partners.
- Ability to work autonomously while providing clear updates and navigating shifting priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and consistency in language, tone, and terminology.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $85 to $90 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
