Across all types of categories spanning goods and services, our team builds strategic sourcing strategies that support business goals and objectives in addition to implementing world-class systems and tools in support of the sourcing process. Job Summary:
As Strategic Sourcing Manager, Store Operations & Facilities, you will be responsible for developing strong and effective business partner relationships and providing strategic sourcing support to Sephora at an enterprise level and to the Sephora Store Operations and Facilities business units. The successful candidate will generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies and leverage the Source-to-Contract process to deliver measurable value and savings. Category responsibilities include but are not limited to store supplies and services, asset protection services, and goods and services related to operating our fleet of stores and various facilities in the US and Canada. Reporting to the Director, Strategic Sourcing- Marketing & Retail Experience, you will leverage your experience to deliver significant value to key stakeholders by managing the end-to-end strategic sourcing process, process compliance, executing on Sephora goals in diversity, risk and sustainability.

Duties and Responsibilities – Time Spent

– Leads all aspects of strategic sourcing process (i.e. 7 step sourcing process) for assigned projects – including profiling the supply market, partnering with stakeholders to identify business requirements, leading RFI/X events using sourcing technology, gaining consensus on award using insights throughout the sourcing process using PPT, conducting supplier negotiations, finalizing contracts, and handing awarded business off to business partners to ensure long term success. 40%
– Supports business partners with sourcing objectives and supplier needs leveraging the Intake-to-Contract Process and associated tools; assisting in negotiations for contracts for relevant categories in support of optimizing value for the organization. Acts as the lead for assigned contracts to facilitate approval across internal business partner teams and suppliers. Summarize negotiation results in a deal summary and facilitate senior leader approvals. 20%
– Builds comprehensive category strategies across all areas assigned. Understand supply markets for respective categories and determine the appropriate strategies that optimize supplier capabilities at a national and regional level. 10%
– Builds out strategic sourcing roadmap in collaboration with key stakeholders for all categories. Leverage data, contract expiry, and other information to inform and support stakeholder objectives. 10%
– Support the Director, Sourcing with broader category support across the Retail Operations and Facilities Teams’ requirements. 10%
– Identify and optimize leverage spend opportunities across departments, for both US and Canada, Sephora Global, and LVMH to reduce total costs for the broader business. 5%
– Build strong and trusting relationships with key stakeholders by delivering against plans and communicating effectively. 5%

Qualifications:
Experience – Years –

Proven success across end-to-end strategic sourcing engagements 5+ Years
Sourcing experience with retail store and facilities categories across goods and services (preferably with a North American retail store organization) 5+ Years

Education – Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Operations preferred (or equivalent experience).

Competencies and Skills

· Experience in negotiating enterprise agreements typical of your assigned categories, for example, master services agreements, and statements of work, among others, in a timely manner

· Experience developing relationships and gaining buy-in with key stakeholders on category strategies, multi-year sourcing plans, supplier relationship management, continuous improvement plans, ‘should-cost’ models, and negotiation strategies

· A proven track record of cost reduction and productivity improvements; ability to influence and drive change while building solid relationships with your internal clients and external suppliers

· Excellent project and timeline management skills to manage sourcing projects end-to-end, from project intake, onboarding to project closure, operationalization, and governance

· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

· Skilled negotiator with a current understanding of various contract models and on-market terms; ability to shepherd a contract from beginning to end ensuring all commercial and legal terms are optimally negotiated on behalf of Sephora. Negotiate directly with suppliers on terms.

· Ability to successfully influence both internal and external partners and interface with senior-level stakeholders

· Comfortable with ambiguity and able to thrive in a dynamic environment

· Excellent communication skills, including oral, written, and interpersonal; confidence in presenting to all levels of the organization

· Advanced analytics, Excel, presentations in Powerpoint, data visualization, and Sourcing tools skills (required)

· Hands-on user of various software tools critical to strategic sourcing: employee collaboration and productivity tools, procure-to-pay and vendor management solutions, e-RFX, sourcing pipeline and savings reporting, and contract lifecycle management, as examples
