**About the Role:**
In this pivotal role, you will be the welcoming face and voice for patients, orchestrating their administrative journey from initial contact through follow-up. You’ll be instrumental in managing critical front office functions, ensuring efficient scheduling, clear communication, and meticulous record-keeping. Your ability to navigate patient inquiries, coordinate complex schedules, and provide essential administrative support will empower clinical teams to focus on patient treatment, ultimately enhancing the overall quality of care. **What You’ll Do:**
* Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, handling check-ins and check-outs, and assisting with inquiries regarding appointments and payments.
* Efficiently manage a multi-line phone system, screening and routing calls, taking detailed messages, and escalating urgent patient calls as needed.
* Coordinate new patient appointments, schedule follow-up visits, and expertly manage the scheduling of various procedures.
* Ensure all necessary patient verifications and authorizations are complete prior to appointments.
* Liaise with providers regarding scheduling preferences and respond effectively to urgent patient needs.
* Provide essential doctor-patient support, utilizing reference documents and tools to assist with non-clinical inquiries.
* Execute various administrative tasks, including maintaining information and paging directory databases, and processing internal forms.
* Utilize telephone systems and electronic medical records systems with proficiency.
* Manage and distribute incoming faxes and mail, and maintain organized filing of documentation.
* Respond to non-clinical patient messages and inquiries, escalating to appropriate teams when necessary.
**Must-Have Qualifications:**
* High School Diploma or GED.
* Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
* Proficiency with computer systems and software relevant to administrative functions.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, appropriate for a professional healthcare setting.
* Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service, solve problems efficiently, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
* Familiarity with Windows-based office software, computers, and operating systems.
* Adept at adjusting communication style to meet the needs and understanding level of diverse individuals.
* Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness in stressful situations.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $22.83 to $25.37 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
