Are you a tech-savvy problem-solver with a passion for supporting creative workflows? We’re seeking a dedicated Technical Associate to be the backbone of our client’s fast-paced digital studio. In this pivotal role, you won’t just be fixing computers; you’ll be empowering artists, accelerating production, and directly contributing to the seamless operation of high-impact creative projects. You’ll blend IT support with studio operations and workflow automation, leveraging modern tools, including AI, to ensure technology enhances, rather than hinders, the creative process. Your expertise will directly influence the speed and quality of content delivery, making a tangible difference every day.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* **Studio Systems & Hardware Management:** Deploy and configure Macintosh workstations, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and manage the physical setup of computer equipment for studio staff and incoming talent.
* **Color Accuracy & Infrastructure Maintenance:** Perform regular monitor calibrations to ensure precise color accuracy across all capture and retouching stations. Maintain and troubleshoot essential studio infrastructure, including Wi-Fi connectivity, network ports, conferencing configurations, and internal printing systems.
* **Scripting, Automation & AI Integration:** Utilize AI tools to efficiently write, debug, and optimize scripts (e.g., Python, AppleScript, Bash) for workflow automation. Support and maintain custom internal applications and proactively identify repetitive manual tasks that can be streamlined through logical scripting solutions.
* **Asset & Operations Support:** Manage the check-in/check-out process for technical gear, maintaining accurate asset tracking records. Provide backup support for the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, assisting with training on search queries and asset retrieval. Offer emergency on-set troubleshooting for critical issues like tethering and camera connectivity to keep shoots moving without interruption.
**Must-Have Qualifications:**
* **Mac OS Mastery:** Deep understanding of the Macintosh operating system, file structures, and advanced troubleshooting utilities.
* **Scripting Logic:** Functional knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or AppleScript, with a specific aptitude for leveraging AI tools to generate and refine code.
* **Network Fundamentals:** Ability to diagnose and resolve Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and server connection issues within a corporate network environment.
* **Color Management:** Familiarity with monitor calibration hardware and software.
* **High-Stakes Problem Solving:** Proven ability to remain calm and resolve critical technical failures quickly in high-pressure, time-sensitive production environments.
* **Customer Service Excellence:** A proactive, “no task is too small” attitude when providing support to creative professionals including Art Directors, Photographers, and Retouchers.
* **Curiosity & Learning Agility:** A genuine passion for new technology and a strong desire to understand and optimize digital workflows from initial capture to final server delivery.
**Nice-to-Have Qualifications:**
* **Administration Experience:** Experience building policies or certifications related to endpoint management solutions.
* **Tethered Photography Workflows:** Familiarity with professional tethered photography software and workflows.
* **Enterprise Asset Management:** Experience with enterprise-level Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems.
