**What You’ll Do:**

As a key contributor, you will be instrumental in building and maturing the AI security posture for a forward-thinking organization. Your work will directly enable the safe and responsible use of AI, protecting both the business and its customers. You will:

* Lead the identification, assessment, and continuous monitoring of risks inherent in AI systems, addressing critical areas such as model integrity, adversarial attacks, data poisoning, and privacy.
* Design, develop, and implement robust control mechanisms to mitigate AI-related risks, including comprehensive model validation, explainability frameworks, and secure data handling practices.
* Ensure rigorous adherence to internal policies and relevant external regulations and industry risk frameworks governing AI and cybersecurity.
* Provide essential support during audits and regulatory examinations focused on AI and cybersecurity risk, demonstrating the organization’s commitment to compliance.
* Develop and track key risk indicators (KRIs) and metrics to provide clear insights into the organization’s AI security posture, driving informed decision-making.
* Deliver regular, impactful reports to senior leadership and risk committees, detailing AI risk trends and the effectiveness of mitigation strategies.
* Stay at the cutting edge of the field, continuously monitoring emerging AI threats, technologies, and best practices to proactively adapt and strengthen defenses.
* Oversee governance insights, manage vendor relationships related to risk, and apply cybersecurity risk assessments to AI use cases, identifying and addressing potential blockers.

**Must-Have Qualifications:**

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Risk Management, or a closely related technical field.
* A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in technology risk or cybersecurity, with at least 1-2 years specifically dedicated to AI/Machine Learning systems.
* Deep understanding of the entire AI/ML lifecycle, including model governance principles and their security implications.
* Proven familiarity with industry-standard risk frameworks and regulatory requirements relevant to financial services.
* Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, data governance best practices, and secure software development methodologies.
* Exceptional communication, analytical, and leadership skills, capable of influencing stakeholders and driving complex initiatives.

**Nice-to-Have Qualifications:**

* Professional certifications such as CRISC, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
* Specialized AI-specific certifications, demonstrating expertise in AI risk management.
* Prior experience with financial industry regulations and their application to technology risk.
