**What You’ll Do:**

This role is pivotal in ensuring patients receive timely and accurate healthcare products and services. You’ll be the first point of contact for many, providing crucial information and coordinating care, while also navigating the complexities of insurance to ensure patients’ needs are met.

* **Effective Delivery of Products and Services:**
* Respond to telephone inquiries and orders from patients and referral sources.
* Provide comprehensive information on equipment, supplies, and services, determining the most effective delivery methods.
* Assist patients with selecting appropriate equipment, supplies, and services.
* **Timely Processing and Facilitation of Patient Orders:**
* Process telephone orders by accurately preparing patient paperwork.
* Verify insurance coverage and other payment methods.
* Complete all necessary paperwork efficiently to facilitate data entry, accounts receivable, and order delivery.
* Perform data entry and distribute paperwork to appropriate personnel.
* Assist with processing billing documentation.
* **Effective Coordination of Patient Services and Supplies:**
* Coordinate the delivery, set-up, and pick-up of equipment, supplies, and services with relevant personnel.
* Ensure deliveries and set-ups are arranged in a timely manner.
* **Appropriate Documentation:**
* Accurately maintain files of all patient account profile information and referral source data.
* **Customer Satisfaction:**
* Resolve patient complaints by identifying problems and coordinating appropriate corrective actions.
* **Insurance Verification and Processing:**
* Verify insurance coverage for new and existing patients to successfully process prescription needs.
* Demonstrate excellent customer service to patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance carriers.

**What You’ll Bring:**

We’re looking for someone with a strong customer service background and a keen eye for detail, ready to dive into a fast-paced and impactful role.

**Must-Have Qualifications:**

* Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or call center environment.
* Effective and empathetic communication style for managing inbound calls and interactions with clients and team members.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
* Basic alphanumeric data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and quality.
* Intermediate math skills with attention to detail and quality.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while achieving individual performance goals.
* Strong ability to read and interpret policies, procedures, and instructions.
* Effective organizational skills and the ability to prioritize a fluctuating workload and competing priorities.
* High School diploma or GED.

**Nice-to-Have Qualifications:**

* Knowledge of various insurance providers and third-party payers.
* Experience in a healthcare setting or the insurance industry, including basic insurance and third-party terms and medical terminology.
* Understanding of insurance concepts, including drug cards, major medical benefits, and per diem coverage.
* Familiarity with government and patient assistance programs.
* Proven analytic and problem-solving skills.
