What You’ll Do: You will join a dedicated team focused on delivering comprehensive business income tax planning, corporate compliance, and income tax accounting services. This role involves managing the primary tax relationship with clients, overseeing engagements, and collaborating with specialists to support all facets of client tax functions.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing client engagements from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Supervising, training, and mentoring junior staff, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Identifying and pursuing opportunities for expanding service offerings to existing and prospective clients.
  • Conducting thorough reviews of tax returns prepared by staff, ensuring accuracy and identifying potential tax savings.
  • Overseeing the primary review of income tax provision engagements.
  • Providing expert research and consultation on various tax matters, utilizing advanced tax-related software.
  • Addressing inquiries from tax authorities, representing clients with professionalism and expertise.
  • Cultivating and maintaining strong client relationships, collaborating effectively with client management and staff.
  • Developing a deep understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives to deliver tailored tax solutions.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development and training to stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Upholding the highest standards of professional ethics and client confidentiality.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Active CPA state of PA or VA or JD/active law license required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of four to seven years of progressive experience in tax compliance and/or tax consulting.
  • Corporate compliance and ASC740 provision experience to include prep, review and audit
  • Demonstrated experience in corporate compliance and income tax provision, including preparation, review, and audit support.
  • Recent public accounting experience with a top-tier firm.
  • Proven corporate tax experience supporting large, multi-state, national, or global companies.
  • Strong Accounting for Income Taxes skills.
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills, proficient in US GAAP and corporate income tax laws and regulations.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of broad-based statutory income tax compliance and consulting, including state and local income taxes, international activity taxation, and transfer pricing.
  • Exceptional client service, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong teamwork and attention to detail.

Industry Experience:

  • Open to manufacturing, technology, pharma, food and beverage, consulting, engineering firms, telecomm, transportation & distribution, financial services, energy

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Professional Services experience.
  • Onesource Tax Provision (OTP) software

Compensation: This role offers an annual bonus depending on performance.
