As a key member of our security team, you will be at the forefront of protecting our digital infrastructure, playing a crucial role in resolving security incidents and proactively strengthening our defenses. You’ll be instrumental in developing and implementing scalable, preventative security measures that shield our organization from evolving threats, directly impacting the trust and safety of our members. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Lead the resolution of complex security incidents, executing enterprise-wide incident response plans. 
  • Recommend and implement enhancements to improve overall security posture and resilience. 
  • Identify common attack patterns targeting publicly exposed aspects of the environment. 
  • Review current configurations of production information systems and networks against compliance standards. 
  • Prepare for the prevention and resolution of security breaches, initiating incident and response management processes. 
  • Implement security service audit schedules, review access authorization, and perform access controls testing to identify security shortfalls. 
  • Design automated scripts, contingency plans, and programmed responses for detected attacks. 
  • Collaborate with Information Security Architects, Engineers, and other software/hardware stakeholders. 
  • Triage security alerts, events, and notifications, notifying internal and external teams based on priority levels. 
  • Integrate third-party attack monitoring and threat reporting services into internal Cyber Incident Response Team communications. 
  • Perform post-mortem analysis using logs, network traffic flows, and other recorded information to identify intrusions and unauthorized activities. 

What You’ll Bring:​ Must-Have Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments. 
  • 4-6 years of related experience, with a strong focus on cloud cybersecurity performing incident triage and response. 
  • Intermediate-to-advanced understanding of major cloud environments, such as AWS and Azure. 
  • Knowledge of tools, techniques, and processes (TTP) used by threat actors. 
  • Knowledge of Indicators of Compromise (IOC). 
  • Experience with Endpoint protection and enterprise detection & response software. 
  • Knowledge of Network and infrastructure technologies, including routers, switches, and firewalls. 
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, with the ability to identify basic problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating excellent judgment and decision-making skills. 
  • A high level of accuracy, even under pressure. 
  • Demonstrated project management skills. 

Nice-to-Have Qualifications: 

  • SANS GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), SANS GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA), SANS GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), or equivalent certifications. 
  • Knowledge of security posture management and cloud native security platforms. 
  • Experience within the healthcare industry.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $85,300 to $158,100​.00. Compensation is based on several factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
