Associate Motion Director (UI Animation)

Overview

We are seeking an Associate Motion Director with world-class UI animation skills. Must be an expert in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro and have experience working with Figma. This person will be responsible for leading small teams of motion designers on complex, fast-turnaround projects while also being hands-on with animation themselves. We’re looking for someone with proven experience as the Lead or Principal animator on award-winning projects for Fortune 500 brands. Strong technical skills, such as After Effects scripting ability and 3D animation skills are highly preferred. While there is a leadership component to this role, this is first and foremost a motion design role, and we are looking for someone who can consistently and quickly deliver stunning animations on tight deadlines.

Deliverables (including length of videos) will be a mix – our team is typically juggling 10 or so projects at any given time (not everyone is touching all – but spread across resources). We work with several different product teams across different project types (including product UI demos, video edits and sizzles, websites, brand guideline gifs, event collateral etc.). Videos usually less than 90 seconds.

Skills Expectation

• 7+ years of motion experience in After Effects, leading projects/teams
• Experience with UI element motion design
• After Effects, Premiere Pro, C4D (a plus but not necessary)
• Design fundamentals, animation timing, storytelling
• Basic audio editing and mixing skills
• Rapid scaling across assets, file organization, independent iteration
• Team leadership
