Join a leading global asset management firm as a Senior Strategic Sourcing Consultant and make a real impact on their Investment Operations and Investment Group. You will be a key player in optimizing their sourcing strategies, negotiating favorable contracts, and driving cost savings. Partnering with Aquent, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
As a Senior Strategic Sourcing Consultant, you will lead the development and execution of strategic sourcing strategies for complex goods and services. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders, building strong relationships and ensuring a positive customer experience. Your expertise will be essential in identifying cost-saving opportunities, managing supplier relationships, and negotiating contracts that deliver value while adhering to company policies.
You should have experience sourcing for HR, Finance, or site services (facilities), as well as experience sourcing in Ariba (pulling up suppliers, creating PO’s, helping managers through PR’s etc.). Must have strong professional collaboration skills and the ability to guide portfolio owners in respectful and partnership focused ways.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct thorough market research, identify potential suppliers, and analyze market trends.
- Develop comprehensive sourcing strategies, including cost reduction targets, supplier selection criteria, and risk mitigation plans.
- Translate business needs into clear sourcing requirements in partnership with stakeholders.
- Lead the design and execution of RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes.
- Analyze supplier responses and evaluate proposals based on price, quality, delivery, and other relevant factors.
- Develop negotiation strategies and lead complex contract negotiations, securing optimal pricing and terms.
- Develop and manage master agreements, including legal terms and conditions.
- Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers, addressing performance issues and driving continuous improvement.
- Monitor supplier performance against contractual obligations and KPIs.
- Analyze spend data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Utilize cost modeling and TCO analysis to evaluate sourcing options.
- Communicate sourcing strategies and progress to stakeholders, including senior management.
- Proactively manage expectations and address concerns related to sourcing activities.
Must-Haves:
- 7+ years of advanced strategic sourcing experience with mastery of procurement principles, practices, and models.
- Deep understanding of sourcing methodologies and contract law.
- Proficiency in data analysis, spend analytics, and financial modeling.
- Proven ability to negotiate complex contracts and achieve favorable terms.
- Extensive knowledge of relevant supplier markets, industry trends, and the competitive landscape.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including the ability to influence others.
- Ability to manage ambiguity, change, and individual project timelines while working in a collaborative environment.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, economics, or operations management.
