Join a global leader in home furnishings as a Software Engineer on their newly formed Membership Foundation team! You will be a key player in shaping the future of their membership program, working on innovative projects that impact millions of members worldwide. This is a chance to make a real difference, using cutting-edge technology to create seamless and personalized experiences.
As a Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in exploring new product ideas, contributing to POC and MVP discussions, and collaborating with teams across the organization. You will work closely with the Engineering Manager, Architect, and Tech Lead to design and implement robust solutions, while also mentoring and onboarding other team members.
This is a 6 months fixed term contract, via Aquent, where onsite presence in our client’s Amsterdam office is required.
What You’ll Do:
- Explore and contribute to product ideas, participating in POC and MVP discussions.
- Develop plans for testing, deployment, and supporting documentation.
- Design architecture and solutions in partnership with the EM, Architect, and Tech Lead.
- Collaborate with stakeholders within and outside the membership program.
- Onboard and mentor team members, providing guidance on requirements and implementation.
Must-Haves:
- Proficiency in modern Object-Oriented Programming languages (Kotlin/Java preferred).
- Experience with software development practices, including DevOps principles.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (GCP).
- Understanding of observability practices (distributed tracing, structured logging, metrics).
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools.
- A pragmatic approach to problem-solving and a focus on simplicity in solutions.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, Kubernetes (GKE), Postgres, Pub Sub, and Terraform.
