As a Communications Coordinator, you will be the vital link between Global Communications and Sports Marketing, focusing on key sports categories. You’ll craft and execute integrated communications plans that amplify major sport moments and athlete partnerships, ensuring a consistent and powerful brand voice across all channels.
Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Global Communications and Sports Marketing teams to translate athlete insights into impactful communication strategies.
  • Develop and execute integrated communications plans for key sport moments and athlete partnerships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Brand Marketing, Business Affairs, and Legal, to ensure alignment on communications strategies.
  • Proactively identify storytelling opportunities related to athlete achievements and global events.
  • Support the development of reactive statements and issue mitigation strategies.
  • Represent the brand at athlete events and sport moments, managing athlete interviews and providing real-time communications support.
  • Contribute to team growth by sharing knowledge, supporting junior team members, and fostering a collaborative environment.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate communications, brand storytelling, sports marketing, or PR, preferably with a global brand or agency.
  • Excellent writing and message development skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into compelling narratives.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong understanding of media dynamics, earned storytelling, and reactive response best practices.
  • Passion for sport and the cultural influence of athletes.
  • Ability to adapt and perform under pressure in fast-paced and live environments.

  • Experience with internal communications
  • Copywriting experience
  • Experience developing communication strategies and brand communications
