As a Content Editor & Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in curating, refining, and analyzing knowledge-based content for interactive experiences. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, leverage cutting-edge tools, and dive deep into player data to create content that is both informative and entertaining. Responsibilities:
- Define and uphold editorial standards for written content, ensuring clarity, accuracy, cultural sensitivity, and appropriate difficulty levels.
- Fact-check, edit, and validate content items, maintaining a high level of quality and consistency.
- Organize content using taxonomies, metadata, and other structured data to enhance discoverability and progression within the interactive experiences.
- Develop and implement editorial tools and workflows to streamline content management processes.
- Plan and execute cycles of live content updates, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align with engagement and retention strategies.
- Develop a comprehensive content update strategy, incorporating player behavior, real-world trends, and performance data.
- Gather and analyze player feedback to identify areas for content improvement and refinement.
- Utilize data dashboards and metrics to optimize content for clarity, pacing, and progression.
- Collaborate with data analysts to create and maintain dashboards that provide actionable insights for editorial and product teams.
- Identify patterns in content usage and player behavior to inform future content strategy and development.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of experience in editorial, content development, educational/game writing, or related roles; portfolio showcasing strong writing/editing skills.
- Exceptional writing and line-editing skills with a meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Data fluency: ability to interpret dashboards, spreadsheets, and translate insights into editorial actions.
- Experience with content management systems and task tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Experience editing short-form knowledge items and structuring content with taxonomy/metadata.
- Passion for general knowledge and a curious mind across a wide range of topics; ability to research quickly and effectively.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills within cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience in live-service or free-to-play environments with ongoing content refresh cycles.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies that support content creation and optimization.
- Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive content practices.
- Background in moderation or trust & safety for user-facing content.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $42.93 to $47.71 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
