This exciting opportunity will allow you to showcase your photography skills within a controlled studio environment. You’ll be responsible for capturing high-quality images of a diverse range of automotive parts, ensuring each shot adheres to industry-standard image guidelines. This role offers a unique blend of creative and technical challenges, perfect for someone passionate about photography and its impact on business success.
What You’ll Do:
- Photograph a wide variety of automotive parts, maintaining consistency in lighting, angles, and background.
- Ensure all images comply with specified image requirements for size, resolution, and file naming.
- Expertly set up, maintain, and adjust studio lighting, backgrounds, and equipment.
- Retouch, edit, and optimize images for color accuracy, clarity, and digital specifications.
- Meticulously maintain a digital asset library, ensuring accurate labeling and metadata.
- Collaborate with product managers, cataloging teams, and marketing staff to understand and fulfill image needs.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and continuously refine workflows for optimal efficiency.
Must-Haves:
- Proven experience in product photography, with a plus for experience with industrial or automotive components.
- Strong understanding of studio lighting, camera equipment, and photo editing software (Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or similar).
- Deep familiarity with industry image standards (or a willingness to learn and apply them rapidly).
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistency across thousands of products.
- Excellent organizational and file management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively.
- Ability to lift and handle automotive parts weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree.
- Portfolio showcasing relevant work.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience photographing reflective, metallic, or irregularly shaped objects.
- Knowledge of automotive catalog data standards.
- Background in automotive aftermarket or parts cataloging.
- Experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $31.84 to $35.38 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
