This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. You will be responsible for accurately registering and processing all patient types, ensuring a seamless flow of information for efficient care delivery. This includes collecting patient demographic information, managing insurance verification, and facilitating communication between patients and clinical staff. Your efficiency and accuracy will directly impact the patient experience and contribute to the overall success of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and verify patient demographic information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Create and maintain patient charts, updating records as needed.
  • Process patient orders and requisitions, ensuring timely delivery to lab technicians.
  • Manage insurance verification and pre-authorization processes.
  • Collect patient payments and co-pays, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Answer patient inquiries via phone and in person, providing excellent customer service.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Scan and manage patient documents electronically, maintaining organized records.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve patient registration issues, ensuring a smooth process.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in data entry and electronic medical records systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Associate degree.
  • Second language proficiency.
  • Experience in a lab or healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $28.00 – $32.00  an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
