As a Technical Program Manager within the Compute Planning Strategy & Operations (CPSO) team, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of highly technical initiatives related to resource allocation, operational support, and continuous improvement. What You’ll Do:
- Develop, implement, and refine operational processes and tools for managing compute resources, incorporating best practices and feedback from stakeholders.
- Establish key performance indicators and metrics to measure resource efficiency, utilization, and overall performance, creating comprehensive reporting and alerting systems.
- Configure and maintain resource management automation tools, troubleshooting technical issues across various infrastructure platforms.
- Create user guides, process documentation, and training materials to educate research teams on efficient resource usage and new platform features.
- Gather and analyze demand signals from engineering teams, clarifying prioritization for machine allocations and collaborating with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) on forecasting growth.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in general program management
- Proven understanding of program management fundamentals, including effective written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills relevant to the role
- Experience identifying process improvements and quantifying their impact
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Familiarity with machine resource provisioning, allocation, and queueing/scheduling systems
- Knowledge of capacity planning principles
- Experience with data analysis, metrics systems, and tooling development
- Ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
