A Fortune 500 financial services company, partnered with Aquent, is seeking a skilled Mobile Development Engineer in Test to champion the quality of their cutting-edge iOS and Android applications. You’ll be a key player in building and maintaining robust automated testing solutions, ensuring a seamless user experience for millions. As a key member of the mobile development team, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions using Appium. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll implement cutting-edge testing strategies that ensure the highest quality standards. Your expertise will directly impact the user experience of millions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and maintain functional test automation scripts for mobile applications using Appium with Java.
  • Ensure continuous operation of automation, analyzing and promptly reporting on failures.
  • Spearhead research, implementation, and training initiatives in Test Driven Development and Appium automation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to define environment requirements, identify automation tools, and implement best practices.
  • Champion an end-to-end testing approach across multiple applications.
  • Partner with distributed teams to shape future QA tooling and technology decisions.
  • Integrate project plans, testing schedules, and metrics reporting with product teams.
  • Direct technological research based on organizational goals and user needs.
  • Mentor junior team members in Mobile QA.

Must-Haves:

  • 3+ years in Mobile Application Development.
  • 4+ years of experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks.
  • 5+ years of experience developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts.
  • Hands-on coding experience with Java or other object-oriented programming languages.
  • Working knowledge of bug logging and test case management tools (e.g., JIRA/MTM, Zephyr/HPQ).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple geographically distributed QA projects with concurrent releases.
  • Solid understanding of Mobile Development on iOS and/or Android devices.
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices and Lean DevOps methodologies.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with XCUI and/or Espresso, Kotlin, SWIFT.
  • Financial/Trading services industry experience.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $67.20 to $74.67 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
