As a Demand Planner, you will be responsible for predicting current and future retail sales and shipments, connecting promotional strategies, replenishment flows, and sizing new product launches. You’ll proactively identify opportunities to optimize stock levels, driving profitable sales and ensuring products are available when and where customers want them.
What You’ll Do:
- Determine optimal stock levels to achieve retailer plans and maximize growth, addressing low or out-of-stock situations.
- Forecast the flow of basic replenishment and review weekly orders to eliminate processing obstacles.
- Plan and analyze promotional levels and sell-through performance.
- Determine launch quantities and initial order levels for new products.
- Forecast weekly net shipments for management review, providing insights into week-over-week changes, opportunities, and risks.
- Develop account budgets and trend plans quarterly, incorporating channel-specific strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Customer Service, Demand Planning, and Sales Administration, to ensure alignment and support for plans.
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in wholesale sell-in or retail planning.
- Knowledge of the beauty industry, market trends, and competitive landscape.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, analytical, and creative thinking skills.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external partners.
- Proficiency in computer skills and ability to multitask effectively.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with supply chain management principles.
- Advanced proficiency in forecasting and planning software.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $45.90 to $51.00 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
