Please note this is a hybrid role in Cary, NC. You must be able to work 3 days onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and 2 days remote (Monday and Friday).

As a Content Manager/Editor, you’ll be the voice of the internal People site, ensuring that employees have access to clear, concise, and compelling information. You’ll be immersed in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with subject matter experts and stakeholders to transform complex information into easily digestible content. Your expertise in content strategy and user experience will be essential as you rethink, restructure, and rewrite webpages, anticipating employee needs and delivering key messages effectively. Responsibilities:

  • Transform existing webpages to enhance clarity, flow, and user experience, addressing anticipated employee questions and articulating key messages in a user-friendly manner.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gain buy-in and approval on rewritten content.
  • Act as a content strategist, applying usability best practices and understanding of user needs to daily work, while promoting content strategy within the organization and with partners.
  • Prepare content for web developers, and directly load content into the CMS when needed.
  • Maintain website content quality and uphold editorial standards, adhering to style guides, glossaries, and local People team contributions.
  • Evaluate and prioritize content requests, seeking leadership input as needed.
  • Define the scope of content development work, establish timelines, and negotiate with partners.
  • Manage projects, timelines, and collaborations using project management software.
  • Partner with the localization team for translated content.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external partners across the business.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in editing and online content production
  • Exceptional writing skills, producing clear, direct, and compelling copy
  • Meticulous organization and strong task/project management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven experience with a CMS
  • Intermediate HTML knowledge
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, fostering strong relationships with partners in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to influence without authority and drive tasks while working with cross-functional teams

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience with HR and global projects

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $51.54 to $57.27 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
