Make an impact as a Quality Technician, ensuring the integrity of products throughout the manufacturing process. You will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and measuring components and finished goods to ensure they meet stringent quality specifications. Your analytical skills and problem-solving abilities will be essential in identifying and addressing any deviations, contributing directly to the delivery of exceptional products.
Details:
- Experience needed – 0-2 years. Looking for some laboratory experience. Background in sciences and physical testing of raw materials. Lab experience (bench work).
- Remote or onsite? Fully onsite in Dover.
- What is the testing – Finished good physical testing – validation testing or verification test.
- Shift/schedule: Testing may change schedules. Starting mid-morning (10 or 11am EST). Training purposes start at 7am then shift schedule for the time they need them to complete tests.
- Training period: 1-2 weeks to learn the 1 test. Manager or someone in the lab would train or assign someone on the team.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect and test parts and products for defects, wear, and deviations from specifications.
- Analyze blueprints, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection procedures, and measuring instruments.
- Record inspection and test data, including weights, temperatures, and quantities.
- Mark items with acceptance or rejection status.
- Measure product dimensions using instruments like rulers, calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
- Analyze test data and perform calculations to determine test results.
- Discard or reject non-conforming products, materials, and equipment.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience/training.
- 0-2 years of experience in quality control or a related field.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control principles.
- Understanding of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC).
- Familiarity with various measuring instruments and techniques.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $16.63 to $18.48 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
