Our Opportunity:
We are seeking a talented Senior Designer with strong illustration skills to join our fast-paced, high-impact Quick Strike pod. This agile team is dedicated to designing and delivering high-quality creative assets on accelerated 2-week timelines, producing a steady stream of work to support the evolving needs of the business. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with strong foundational design and illustration skills, and experience working within templates, design libraries, and brand guidelines to drive efficiency and consistency. This role will collaborate closely with Site Experience teams and internal creative teams to enhance the digital shopping experience.
What You’ll Do:
- Design & Illustration (60/40 split): Create compelling visual solutions with a focus on design work supplemented by custom illustration elements
- Translate business goals and creative briefs into visually compelling solutions for ecommerce platforms
- Work within established brand styles and templates to design banners, navigational tiles, educational content, emails, and digital assets
- Support Customer Delight Initiatives: Create illustrations for greeting cards, special packages, stickers, and unique customer touchpoints
- End-to-End Project Management: Handle complete project lifecycle from concept through final delivery and file uploads
- Ask strategic questions to clarify goals and ensure alignment from kickoff through delivery
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities while managing multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Present work during creative review meetings to provide insight and rationale behind design decisions
- Manage ad hoc projects including trade show materials, promotional stickers, and extended email trigger flows
- Deliver pixel-perfect assets on time, managing workload and schedule independently with minimal supervision
What You’ll Need:
- 3-5 years of professional experience in a fast-paced in-house creative team or agency setting
- Strong ecommerce experience with proven ability to deliver digital retail assets
- Robust portfolio showcasing both design and illustration capabilities
- Self-sufficient work style with ability to work independently and require minimal hand-holding
- High attention to detail and precision in layout, typography, and visual storytelling
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a busy, fast-paced environment balancing tight deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills with ability to clearly articulate problems and solutions while being receptive to feedback and direction
- Strong time management skills and pacing to deadlines
- A positive attitude when working with colleagues, peers, and internal clients
- Ability to iterate on designs in a highly-collaborative team environment
- Expert skills in full Adobe Creative Suite and Figma on a MacOS platform
- Photo retouching skills a plus
- Production skills required – ability to prepare final files for delivery and upload to content management systems
Role Details:
- Location Requirements: Must be based in Boston, MA or Florida (hybrid/office presence required)
- Team Structure: Self-contained pod model with creative director oversight
- Timeline: Quick Strike 2-week delivery cycles (assignment Tuesday → delivery end of second week)
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $40 to $42/HR. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
