Vietnamese Translator

Overview

Our global retailer client is currently seeking a talented Vietnamese Translator to join our client’s team on a part-time, remote basis. As a Remote Part-Time Vietnamese Translator, your responsibility will be to accurately translate written and spoken content from Vietnamese to English. The primary focus of this role is to maintain the integrity and meaning of the original text while ensuring cultural nuances are appropriately conveyed.

This is a contract position requiring approximately 20-30 hours per week on a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Translate seller education and marketing resources such as guides, video scripts, emails, and other collateral from Vietnamese to English.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in translations, paying attention to grammar, syntax, and cultural context.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to clarify ambiguities and ensure accurate interpretation of content.
• Research and stay updated on industry-specific terminology to enhance translation quality.
• Meet deadlines and manage workload effectively to deliver high-quality translations within specified timeframes.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for improving translation processes and tools.

Requirements

• Fluency in Vietnamese and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages; native-level proficiency is highly preferred.
• Proven experience as a translator, with a strong portfolio of translated documents and projects.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in translations.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
• Cultural sensitivity and awareness to accurately convey nuances and context in translations.
• Excellent research skills to stay updated on industry-specific terminology and language trends.
• Availability to work part-time, approximately 20-30 hours per week, on a flexible schedule

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Vietnamese voiceover translations.
• Proficiency in translation software and tools is preferred.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field is a plus.
