We are currently expanding our team to tackle critical initiatives that will shape our strategic direction and ensure compliance with essential regulatory requirements.

Role Overview: We are seeking two to three highly strategic and dynamic Project Managers to lead pivotal initiatives related to our critical regulatory filings. In this role, you will be instrumental in articulating company risks and shaping the narrative around the necessary investments required for our grid infrastructure. This is more than just project execution; it’s about driving strategic thinking, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and turning complex data into a clear, compelling story that informs significant business decisions.

This is a 1-year contract role with strong potential for extension, reflecting the ongoing importance of these strategic deliverables.

What You’ll Do (Core Responsibilities):

• Strategic Project Leadership: Take ownership of a specific section within a major regulatory filing, guiding it from an often undefined concept to a well-articulated conclusion.
• Cross-Functional Catalyst: Proactively engage and collaborate extensively with diverse internal disciplines, including Finance, Regulatory Affairs, Strategy, and Technical teams. You will be key in facilitating discussions to synthesize viewpoints and drive strategic conclusions.
• Risk & Investment Storytelling: Craft impactful narratives that clearly outline risks to our company’s grid and meticulously justify the essential investments needed to mitigate these challenges. This includes weaving in financial, risk, and capital-related considerations.
• Scope & Schedule Management: Effectively manage project scope and timelines, ensuring strategic alignment and the timely delivery of all required components for the regulatory filing.
• Content & Narrative Ownership: Be accountable for the content of your assigned filing section, evolving from initial concept to the final written and synthesized story.
• Continuous Growth: While not required to be a subject matter expert from day one, you must have a strong willingness to learn and grow in areas such as wildfire strategy or infrastructure replacement, with full support from our internal SMEs.
• Tool Proficiency: Utilize Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and other standard Microsoft products for effective project management and documentation.

• Highly Strategic Thinker: You have a demonstrated history of project managing strategic initiatives, new investment approaches, or solving significant, company-wide business challenges. You can assess current states and establish clear steps for future vision realization.
• Exceptional Collaborator: You possess a proven ability to bring together individuals from various disciplines, facilitate strategic conversations, and drive consensus and conclusions. Experience working closely with Finance, Regulatory, Strategy, and Technical teams is highly valued.
• Strong Business Acumen: You have a track record of driving projects where the outcome directly translates into a significant business decision or shapes the company’s future investment strategy.
• Adaptable & Proactive: You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and can take initiative to identify necessary stakeholders and gather information without extensive hand-holding.
• Experience in Regulated Environments: A background working within a highly regulated industry is a significant asset.

Please Note: This role is not suited for Project Managers whose primary focus has been solely on executing software deployments. We are looking for strategic drivers.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $48.08 to $53.43 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
