In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for operational processes related to Database Activity Monitoring. You will monitor, analyze, and respond to security risks, including policy violations and threats to databases. Collaboration will be key as you partner with Security Operations, Risk Management, and Engineering teams to enhance program maturity. Your technical skills and passion for problem-solving will be essential as you contribute to the ongoing advancement of the team.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze database activity for potential security threats and policy violations.
- Respond to security incidents and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data protection program maturity.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of security best practices.
- Maintain detailed documentation of security processes and procedures.
- Communicate security concepts effectively to both technical and business teams.
- Design and implement solutions to automate manual processes.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with peers and cross-functional teams.
- Experience communicating security concepts to business stakeholders.
- A passion for designing and implementing process automation solutions.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Relevant professional certifications (CISA, CISSP, CIA, or equivalent).
- 1+ years of experience in a Security role or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Data Protection concepts (e.g., Data Loss Prevention, Encryption, Data at Rest vs. Data in Motion, Unstructured vs. Structured data).
- Understanding of information security best practices and technologies.
- Experience with Python, SQL, and/or PowerShell.
- Analytical background and a proven ability to perform event classification, correlation, and root cause analysis.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $36 to $40 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
