Make a Difference as an SAP Grants Management Consultant
In this dynamic role, you will be at the forefront of implementing and supporting SAP Grants Management solutions. You will collaborate with diverse teams, from program managers to finance professionals, to understand their unique needs and tailor solutions that optimize grant administration. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of grant-funded initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Lead and participate in all phases of SAP Grants Management implementations, from requirements gathering and blueprinting to configuration, testing, and go-live support.
Partner with program managers, finance, and research administration teams to translate grant-specific requirements into practical SAP GM solutions.
Configure and refine SAP GM functionalities, encompassing sponsored programs, sponsored classes, grant master data, budgeting, expenditure tracking, indirect cost calculations, and billing.
Design and implement seamless integration points between GM and other SAP modules (e.g., FI-GL, CO, FM, PS, SD).
Develop functional specifications for custom developments, including reports, enhancements, and interfaces, related to Grants Management.
Empower end-users through comprehensive training, meticulously prepared training materials, and ongoing support.
Troubleshoot and resolve GM-related issues, ensuring adherence to grant terms and financial regulations.
Provide expert guidance on best practices for grants administration and reporting within SAP.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting to meet internal and external grant requirements.
Must-Have Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
3+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Grants Management implementations and support.
In-depth functional knowledge of the grant lifecycle, including pre-award, award management, post-award, and close-out processes.
Strong understanding of indirect cost calculation, cost sharing, and grant billing processes.
Experience with integration points between GM and SAP FI, CO, FM, and PS.
Proven ability to analyze complex grant administration processes and design effective SAP solutions.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
Experience in public sector, higher education, or non-profit organizations with significant grant portfolios.
