In this dynamic role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to oversee the entire lifecycle of electrical building systems, from initial design and construction through startup and commissioning. Your technical expertise will be essential in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
 

What You’ll Do:

  • Facilitate electrical building system startups and commissioning activities.
  • Provide expert guidance on product submittals, shop drawings, and engineering specifications.
  • Champion safety, ensuring adherence to all relevant OSHA requirements and electrical safe work practices.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of building codes and industry standards (IBC, NEC, NESC, NFPA, ASME, AMCA, ARI, AWS, ASHRAE, FM).
  • Collaborate with contractors and vendors, coordinating equipment testing, delivery, installation, and handover.
  • Oversee construction progress, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
  • Manage project schedules, track milestones, and report progress to project managers.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project technical specifications and standards.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of professional experience with 2+ years in construction management.
  • Experience in design criteria development for electrical systems.
  • Automotive experience with manufacturing facilities or similar industrial environments.
  • 5+ years in electrical design.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and schedule management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience with Bluebeam and AutoCAD software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Multi-disciplinary background (civil, electrical, etc.).
  • Experience with Kanban methodologies.
  • Experience with substation and/or mechanical equipment startup and commissioning.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $54 to $60 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
