As the Social Media & Advocacy Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing online communities, building brand loyalty, and driving awareness of products that deliver real results. This hybrid role offers the exciting opportunity to merge your passion for beauty with your social media savvy, shaping how customers connect with a beloved brand. This position requires the ability to commute to the Los Angeles (El Segundo) office 3 days a week.
Overview:
The Social Media & Advocacy Assistant Manager will champion community engagement across various social media platforms, fostering positive interactions and building relationships with brand enthusiasts. You will contribute to content creation, monitor online conversations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between social media activities and overall marketing strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate brand love and awareness by actively managing online communities.
- Respond to inquiries and engage with user-generated content across social platforms.
- Craft engaging copy that reflects the brand’s authentic voice and resonates with its target audience.
- Collaborate with customer service regarding product orders and promotions.
- Identify and escalate potential crises or sensitive customer issues.
- Build and maintain relationships with influencers and key community members.
- Support the social media lead in various tasks, including social listening, content creation, and event support.
- Analyze data and provide insights to optimize community management strategies.
- Track and report on key social media metrics.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in social media management and community management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of social media trends and best practices.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive and self-motivated work ethic.
- Passion for skincare, makeup, and pop culture.
- Willingness to work occasional nights and weekends.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with content creation.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $61.37 to $68.19 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
