As a UX Researcher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of user experience, contributing to cutting-edge research and development in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Your expertise in user research will directly impact the development of next-generation technologies, influencing how users interact with and experience the digital world. As a UX Researcher, you will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with researchers, designers, engineers, and product managers to conduct user-centered research that drives product innovation. You will leverage your expertise in qualitative research methodologies to uncover user needs, behaviors, and pain points, translating these insights into actionable recommendations that inform product strategy and design. Your work will have a direct impact on the development of groundbreaking AR/VR experiences, shaping the future of how people interact with technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute end-to-end user research studies, employing a variety of qualitative methods, including in-depth interviews, focus groups, usability testing, and diary studies.
  • Synthesize research findings into clear, concise, and actionable insights, effectively communicating your recommendations to cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, and product managers to integrate user feedback into product development, ensuring a user-centered approach throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the development of research frameworks and best practices, advancing the team’s capabilities in user research.
  • Manage multiple research projects simultaneously, adapting to the fast-paced and evolving nature of AR/VR research and development.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience within user experience, applied research setting and/or product research and development, Master’s degree and 2+ years relevant experience, or a PhD with 1+ years of relevant experience
  • Relevant experience within user experience, applied research setting and/or product research and development
  • Experience supporting UX research operations or doing a high volume of simple lab based studies.
  • Strong skills in qualitative research methodologies, including in-depth interviews, focus groups, and usability testing.
  • Proven ability to translate research findings into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with project planning and process development, particularly in a research environment involving hardware studies.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Degrees in a human behavior related field, such as Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Communication, Information science, Media studies, Computer Science, or Economics Experience shipping consumer hardware and wearable technologies
  • Experience in early stage R&D UXR research Work experience in the AR/VR/AI space
  • Strong skills in multimodal qualitative data collection and analysis
  • Design thinking skills and experience with visual information design.
  • Experience in AI, wearables, robotics, or related fields.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $81.81 to $90.91 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
