Job Overview:
As a Sample Maker, you will be responsible for constructing prototypes and samples of garments, meticulously following design specifications and upholding quality standards. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with design and product development teams, playing a vital role in transforming creative visions into tangible products. This is a 12-month position with work performed on an as-needed basis. Hours will vary depending on business needs, but during busy weeks, you can expect to work 30-40 hours per week. There is no guarantee of a set number of hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• Create prototypes and samples of garments, adhering to design specifications and quality standards.
• Collaborate with designers, translating their vision into physical samples.
• Cut pattern pieces and components from various fabrics and trims.
• Adjust samples after fittings to ensure proper fit and construction.
• Maintain an organized workspace, tracking materials and samples.
• Assist in developing new techniques and processes to improve sample development and suggest production efficiencies.
• Communicate effectively with design and production teams regarding timelines and project updates.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Sample Maker or similar role in the fashion industry.
• Strong sewing and garment construction skills, including proficiency in various sewing techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong time management skills to meet project deadlines.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
Familiarity with CAD software and patternmaking.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $29.99 to $33.33 an hour Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
