As a Pharmacy Technician, you’ll play a vital role in a Fortune 500 company, contributing to a mission that prioritizes patient well-being and accessible healthcare. - This role is onsite, 5 days per week, in Mechanicsville, VA
- Schedule for this role:
- Sunday – Thursday (3:30pm – 11:30pm)
- 90 days assignment with a possible extension beyond that
- Certification: MUST BE CERTIFIED/LICENSED PHARMACY TECHNICIAN
- No certifications or licenses that will be expiring in the next 90 days.
*A background check and drug screening must be completed prior to starting this assignment.
Pharmacy Technician
In this role, you will be an integral part of the pharmacy fulfillment process, working within a fast-paced environment to accurately prepare and dispense medications. You will leverage cutting-edge fulfillment systems and collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive the highest quality care. Your meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will directly impact patient health outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Process prescription exceptions, including resolving claim rejects and conducting member and physician outreach.
- Accurately enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system.
- Investigate and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and escalated member issues.
- Escalate complex prescription questions to a Pharmacist for interpretation or guidance.
- Provide support for inbound and outbound patient or physician calls.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
- Current Pharmacy Registration and Certification as required by the state.
- Basic computer skills.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $15.75 to $17.50 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
