Editorial plays a key role in shaping how our client’s organization communicates with its 15,000 employees. This position will focus on helping to ideate, draft, and distribute engaging content that highlights the exceptional work happening at the organization and reflects the creative, dynamic culture that makes it a unique and exciting place to work. The ideal candidate is a proactive and organized communicator with a passion for internal storytelling, eager to collaborate across teams to bring creative ideas to life and amplify the brand across various internal platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Editorial Content Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm and ideate engaging stories, focusing on employee achievements, creative projects, and the organization’s distinctive culture. Help draft clear, concise, and compelling content that will resonate across the organization.
  • Newsletter Production: Assist in the creation of the weekly internal newsletter, drafting content, formatting it, and ensuring its timely distribution to all employees. Ensure consistency and alignment with internal communications strategy.
  • Creative Asset Coordination: Use creative tools like Photoshop and Canva to create visual elements that complement editorial content, ensuring each piece aligns with the overall messaging and branding of the organization.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across departments to gather insights, information, and feedback for content creation. Maintain a unified editorial voice throughout all communications and ensure content is accurate and compelling.
  • Internal Communications Platforms: Assist in optimizing and maintaining key internal communications channels, ensuring content is easily accessible and engaging for all employees. Help ensure these platforms are regularly updated with fresh and relevant content.
  • Email Distribution: Support the distribution of internal communications using email distribution tools, ensuring content is delivered effectively across the organization.
  • Metrics & Insights: Track engagement metrics for internal communications content and provide insights to help refine strategies and improve future editorial work

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in editorial writing, internal communications, or a related field. Experience with employee communications and internal newsletters is a plus.
  • Proficiency in email distribution tools, creative platforms like Photoshop and Canva, and familiarity with internal communication platforms and tools such as Salesforce.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills with an eye for detail and a passion for storytelling.
  • A curiosity for discovering new and interesting angles to share the org’s stories and highlight the company’s unique strengths and culture.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build relationships across the organization

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $43.63 to $48.48 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
