The creative group at Aquent Studios is looking for a part-time copywriter supporting to support our Account Based Marketing (ABM) creative team. We’re looking for a talented, collaborative person who can not only create intelligent, original, and effective content, but can develop a strategy around it.
You must be able to:
– Work independently and as part of the creative team, typically including an art director and designer, to deliver excellent work on every aspect of a project
– Flex across disciplines and wear multiple hats, thinking beyond what it means to be a copywriter and acting as a holistic creative strategist who can assist designers in their day-to-day role
– Use Google Workspace and Salesforce tools to collaborate and execute work remotely, comfortably communicate via text-based and video chats
– Understand the business and industry of our targeted brand accounts
– Research accounts to thoroughly understand the target audience and project information
– Be in perpetual state of learning, always trying to understand the landscape of our industry and our competitors, and always looking to hone your writing craft
– Bring an attitude of humility, integrity and fun to your work and leadership
– Demonstrate a capacity to remain positive and be decisive with a bias toward action during times of ambiguity, take initiative to move forward and seek project information needed
– Participate effectively in all necessary internal and external meetings — briefings, status, brainstorming sessions, and presentations
– Can prioritize projects to manage multiple tasks at once; able to work with project management to meet all deadlines
– Present and sell the creative work
– Provide a point of view and express it well
– Work well with ambiguity to develop a creative strategy, finding opportunities within a project to build content and provide value
– Maintain strong, trusted relationships with all members of the creative team, as well as members of the campaigns team
– Manage all information and updates (pertaining to copy) from start to finish
– Work quickly and effectively under tight deadlines
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
– 4 – 5 years experience
– experience with household name brands
– an established portfolio that displays long-term client relationships, integrated campaigns, and effective, compelling writing
– Strong conceptual skills
– Experience with corporate marketing and branding, and a clear understanding of marketing strategies and concepts
– Strong presentation skills, and outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to interpret creative direction, and a willingness to learn
– Comfort with ambiguity and change
– Experience writing both print and Web copy
– Experience writing long-form/journalistic copy
– Strong proofing/copy editing skills are desirable
– Previous experience writing for direct mail desirable
– Previous experience mentoring junior team members

Compensation Range: $40 – $45 hrly
The range provided is our reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location.
