The Core Data Storage team builds and enhances high-impact core storage infrastructure, focusing on improving data accessibility, security, and developer productivity. They develop robust search functionalities, scalable authorization systems, and tools for efficient data processing and management. Their work includes enabling custom computations, ensuring data integrity, and providing libraries that simplify development.

Responsibilities:

As a technical program manager, you will provide critical support to our team responsible for scaling shared data indexing systems. You’ll drive efficiency by centralizing project tracking and customer request management in a unified platform (similar to JIRA), streamlining workflows, and improving collaboration. Your work will ensure the timely delivery of robust infrastructure by optimizing project tracking, enhancing visibility, and refining customer request processes.

  • Centralize and Streamline: Establish a single source of truth by migrating project tracking and customer requests to a unified platform (e.g., JIRA).
  • Plan and Execute: Define clear project milestones, develop comprehensive project plans, and ensure timely and efficient delivery.
  • Track and Report: Maintain up-to-date project plans, bug reports, and trackers, ensuring clear visibility into progress.
  • Enhance Collaboration: Improve project reporting and foster collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
  • Optimize Processes: Utilize project metrics and customer feedback to refine project tracking and customer request workflows.
  • Drive Communication: Facilitate communication through proactive monitoring of team chat, routing discussions, and ensuring timely information flow.
  • Monitor and Report on Performance: Track and report on key metrics and service level objectives (SLOs).
  • Lead Meetings and Drive Resolution: Align with leads for weekly meetings, capture notes, and drive issue resolution.
  • Communicate Team Achievements: Contribute to a monthly newsletter highlighting team accomplishments and potential risks.
  • Manage Sprint Planning: Oversee team sprint planning and ensure awareness of upcoming tasks and capacity.
  • Support OKR Tracking: Collaborate with Engineering Managers on OKR grading and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project information, including tasks, milestones, and documentation.
  • Triage and manage incoming customer requests, ensuring timely and effective communication and resolution.
  • Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders, leveraging agile task tracking tools.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in engineering, computer science or a related field
  • 1-3 years of proven program management experience, specifically in software projects.
  • 1-3 years of experience navigating the software development lifecycle, building relationships, and influencing without direct authority.
  • Ability to engage in technical discussions and understand design concepts.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 1-3 yrs of technical program management experience preferred
  • Basic SQL skills
  • Advanced configuration and administration of task management platforms (similar to JIRA).
  • Experience with advanced reporting and analytics in task management platforms.
  • Experience with Agile product backlog management.
  • Experience in creating advanced customer support workflows in task management systems.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $52.95 to $58.84 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
