We are seeking a mid-level Software Developer with strong DevOps and Infrastructure experience to join our team. This role involves building a new QA environment that supports stress and performance testing for our applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD pipelines while demonstrating a passion for eliminating manual toil through automation.

As part of a DevOps team, you will collaborate with agile development teams to build, test, and deploy applications while designing scalable and efficient automation solutions. This position is a key contributor in optimizing build pipelines, implementing infrastructure automation, and ensuring system reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • QA Environment Buildout: Design and implement a new QA environment for extensive stress and performance testing.
  • Infrastructure & Automation: Work with Windows-based infrastructure (Microsoft OS, Microsoft SQL Server) and automate deployment and maintenance tasks.
  • CI/CD & Build Pipelines: Develop and optimize continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Scripting & Configuration Management: Utilize Python, PowerShell, Salt, GitHub, YAML, and other automation tools to streamline operations.
  • Application Lifecycle Management: Support 83+ applications, ensuring they are properly managed across environments.
  • Performance Testing Support: Implement best practices in performance and reliability testing.
  • DevOps & Collaboration: Work closely with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to improve deployment efficiency.
  • Disaster Recovery & Documentation: Create runbooks for disaster recovery and ensure knowledge transfer.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a comparable role.
  • Strong infrastructure skills, including experience with virtual platforms and Windows-based environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Salt, PowerShell, Python, GitHub, and YAML.
  • Prior exposure to CI/CD pipelines and continuous delivery best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience troubleshooting software issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in performance testing environments.
  • Prior experience managing multiple applications throughout their lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles and experience reducing operational toil through automation.
  • Experience with IIS/Windows Server administration.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $43 to $46. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
