Our client is seeking an experienced, media-savvy PR professional to lead proactive media pitching and placement in tech, AI, and business press. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on pitching compelling stories, securing impactful coverage, and keeping our client top-of-mind in the media landscape. You’ll work closely with the Director of Communications, who oversees PR strategy and messaging and collaborate with an external PR expert focused on executive placements. We’re seeking a natural storyteller and connector who can identify timely opportunities, pitch stories daily, and manage follow-ups to drive consistent press momentum. The ideal candidate has strong relationships with top-tier and trade media in technology, AI, and business publications and a deep understanding of how to tailor pitches across different media formats, including podcasts, influencers, and emerging digital platforms. They should be skilled at transforming executive insights and product innovations into standout coverage across a variety of channels. This role is fast-paced and highly collaborative, requiring a proactive mindset, persistence, and a passion for media engagement. What You’ll Do

  • Own daily media outreach and pitching, ensuring our client is consistently placed in key tech, AI, and business publications.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with journalists and editors covering AI, SEO, digital transformation, and SaaS.
  • Quickly identify and act on media opportunities, including breaking news, trends, and timely topics where our clients POV is valuable.
  • Write compelling media pitches, commentary, and briefing docs that secure high-impact coverage.
  • Relentlessly follow up on pitches and build a robust pipeline of media interest.
  • Track, analyze, and optimize media outreach efforts, ensuring we increase visibility in target publications.
  • Coordinate with executives to place them in relevant interviews, panels, and media opportunities.
  • Support major announcements, product launches, and news cycles with a focus on maximizing press coverage.
  • Expand our clients media presence beyond traditional outlets by identifying opportunities across emerging channels, including podcasts, industry newsletters, influencers, and digital-first media platforms.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of PR experience in tech, AI, or business media—either in-house, at an agency, or independent.
  • Strong existing relationships with journalists at Tier 1 and industry media covering AI, SaaS, and digital transformation.
  • Proven ability to pitch, place, and sustain media coverage in top publications.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills, with a sharp ability to craft compelling media pitches.
  • A closer mentality—you thrive on pitching, following up, and closing the deal with journalists.
  • Deep understanding of the AI, SEO, and SaaS media landscape, with a keen eye for emerging channels like podcasts, LinkedIn newsletters, and digital-first media brands.
  • Ability to track and measure PR performance, using data to refine media strategies.
  • High energy, self-motivated, and results-driven, with a “never-give-up” attitude.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with PR tools like Cision, Meltwater, or Muck Rack.
  • Experience working with SEO and industry influencers.
  • Background in AI, machine learning, or digital marketing tech.
  • Familiarity with public company communications and earnings cycles.
