As a Scrum Master, you’ll be at the forefront of guiding Agile development teams, facilitating collaboration, removing obstacles, and ensuring the continuous improvement of our processes. In this role, your focus will be on ensuring the effective application of Agile methodologies to deliver high-quality products on time and in alignment with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scrum Facilitation: Lead Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives) and ensure adherence to Scrum principles and practices.
- Collaboration: Foster seamless collaboration within and between cross-functional teams. Promote transparency, facilitate communication, and drive effective decision-making to meet project objectives.
- Obstacle Removal: Identify and remove blockers that hinder team progress, proactively addressing challenges to ensure smooth delivery of product features.
- Continuous Improvement: Instill a mindset of continuous improvement. Encourage regular reflection and feedback, and adopt best practices to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
- Metrics and Reporting: Track team progress using Agile metrics, providing visibility into performance. Contribute to data-driven decision-making by regularly updating key stakeholders on progress.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to prioritize and refine the product backlog. Ensure alignment between business objectives and development efforts.
- Training & Coaching: Provide ongoing training and coaching to the team on Agile principles and methodologies. Mentor team members in their development and adoption of Agile practices.
- Program Support: Coordinate the SEC Build phase by managing dependencies, resolving blockers, and tracking defects in alignment with SEC timelines. Ensure accurate information across program tools like JIRA, ServiceNow, Confluence, Power BI, Box, and Smartsheet.
- Leadership Reporting: Maintain clear, concise communication regarding project progress, blockers, and status updates, ensuring Senior Leadership receives actionable insights.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Education: Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of directly relevant work experience. Alternatively, a Master’s + 4 years or an Associate’s degree + 6 years of experience may be accepted.
- Agile Experience: Proven track record in leading Agile teams, with deep understanding of Scrum principles and practices.
- Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Tools & Technologies: Proficiency in Agile tools such as JIRA, ServiceNow, Confluence, Power BI, Smartsheet, etc.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify obstacles and resolve issues quickly to ensure teams remain productive and aligned.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and mentoring skills, capable of influencing team behaviors and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
