ROLE

In this role, you will be part of a team dedicated to understanding and enhancing the user experience for Microsoft Copilot. You will be conducting benchmark studies to improve the quality and end-user experience for Copilot in Word. Your work will involve collecting, synthesizing, and reporting summaries from quantitative and qualitative data, conducting competitive analysis, and identifying user experience opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct Benchmark Studies:

  • Design and execute comprehensive benchmark studies to evaluate user experience across various products and services.
  • Develop research plans, methodologies, and protocols to ensure robust and reliable data collection.

Data Handling and Analysis:

  • Collect, organize, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data with a high level of detail and accuracy.

Session Moderation:

  • Expertly moderate user research sessions.
  • Ensure participants are comfortable and engaged, facilitating open and honest feedback.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Produce detailed and well-structured reports summarizing research findings, insights, and recommendations.

Rapid Output Generation:

  • Creating assets such as videos, presentations, and documents to summarizing the insights.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED)

  • Must be able to commit from Feb to end of June 2025
  • An degree in an Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, or other data- or research-centric field.
  • Proven experience in conducting benchmark studies and handling large datasets.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, R, Excel).
  • Excellent moderation skills with experience in conducting various types of user research sessions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise reports.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE (DESIRABLE)

  • Experience with UX research tools such as UserTesting and Qualtrics
  • Experience conducting user research on AI, particularly generative AI (LLMs)
  • Experience conducting benchmark user research and handling large datasets

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $50 to $55 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
