Our client, a major Healthcare company, is looking for a Senior UX Strategist to join their Enterprise Technology Team on a consulting basis. As a Senior UX Strategist, you will function as an advocate for the Technology Experience Services team (TXS) for large scale, high visibility projects, representing the colleague between concept design and production design and aligning user needs with the business/technical objectives of the project, often managing several projects at a time.

This role is a crucial element to the enterprise as we innovate and move into a future state while striving for successful changes to our colleague technology that are intuitive, efficient, and abrasion-free.

Successful Candidate should:

  • Be a good communicator who builds strong relationships and partnerships focusing on collaboration, building consensus, and driving experience research and design through influence.
  • Be an analytical thinker with a desire and ability to uncover and document a deep understanding of users’ needs and behaviors across multiple customer segments and environments.
  • Have experience evangelizing or mentoring internal and external stakeholders on the value of UX and the design thinking process.
  • Have advanced project planning, management, and negotiation skills.
  • Have prior work involving collaboration within design teams (with other designers, UX researchers, and content designers) and cross-functional (product management, engineering).
  • Display comfort and confidence when presenting work to senior leaders.
  • Be a good storyteller, able to document in the simplest of terms, the “What’s happening, to whom, when is it happening, where are the points of abrasion, what is our plan to prepare for the abrasion, what are our success metrics, and finally how did we do.”

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with technology teams where applicable to (product, application & engineering) identify areas of confidence & risk in the product roadmap and craft a plan to address them.
  • Coordinate, guide, and collaborate with CTX sub-teams to ensure alignment with the overall colleague experience plan, priorities, and project timelines.
  • Champion the voice of the colleague in conversations with stakeholders.
  • Develop CTX project plan (timeline, KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), etc..) along with Project team, help identify potential risks, gaps, and short- to long-term opportunities concerning colleague interests for the product/initial.
  • Leverage experience with quantitative research to navigate large amounts of data and advise / invent long term vision for products and services.
  • Support the design and creation of artifacts such as user personas, journey maps, experience architectures (maps), success metrics (KPIs).
  • Identify improvement areas and scope of UX research or content strategy support needed for complex and high-profile products; initiate engagements where according to priority measures.
  • Proactively investigate and learn new processes, techniques, and emerging technologies for experience strategy and management.
  • Drive product improvement at the systems level through effective communication, project planning and management, strong business acumen, and relational influence across.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, methodologies, and tools related to UX strategy. Share knowledge and mentor junior team members.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in computer science, human-computer interaction, experimental psychology, or a related field with relevant experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in applied UX strategy role; strong familiarity with product design and research processes within complex environments within complex environments
  • Strong UX experience in areas of design thinking, ideation, and group brainstorming techniques
  • Advanced analytics: Proven experience in quantitative research and statistical concepts
  • Design-thinking: Ability to collaborate closely with agile teams to drive effective and efficient implementation of research and design; Ability to apply analytical mindset and creativity to problem solving while maintaining a ‘big picture’ strategic view; Attention to detail, especially as it relates to complex customer interactions
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Experience collaborating with large teams using outstanding communication skills
  • Project Management: Ability to take direction, work independently, and manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality or attention to detail; Excellent presentation, communication, documentation, and organization skills; Strong prioritization skills and ability to quickly re-prioritize in a dynamic environment
  • Communication: Strong presence, including ability to partner with and effectively influence product and engineer leaders Skilled at communicating verbally and in writing to diverse audiences

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $60 to $75 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
