Job Overview: Our client is seeking a Senior Product Manager to become a subject matter expert in retirement distribution and Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs). This role involves shaping the product strategy and vision, driving product discovery, and spearheading business analysis activities. The ideal candidate will build robust partnerships across multiple teams, leveraging research and data to enhance product offerings and deliver outstanding digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop expertise in retirement distribution and RMDs to contribute effectively to product strategy and vision.
  • Lead product discovery and business analysis activities, translating client needs into detailed requirements and preparing essential documentation, such as Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), process maps, and use case models.
  • Foster strong partnerships with cross-functional teams, including Business, UX Design, UX Research, Engineering, Data/Analytics, and Digital Product, to collaborate on product development.
  • Utilize research and data to gain valuable user insights, inform product decisions, and identify opportunities for future enhancements.
  • Participate actively in various aspects of the product development process, from discovery and strategy to delivery and measurement.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively navigate complex challenges, and consistently deliver results.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Product Management: Strong strategic and business analysis skills with a proven track record in capturing clear requirements and delivering successful digital products.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to synthesize and process data, leverage user research, and employ data-driven measurement techniques to inform product decisions.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Excellent relationship-building skills, capability to work cross-functionally, and strong communication skills for articulating ideas and presenting product prototypes.
  • Client Focus: A strong passion for digital innovation and commitment to exceptional client experience, with experience in managing client journeys and digital user experiences.
  • Agile Development: Experience in working with cross-functional scrum teams, prioritizing backlogs, defining requirements, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality features.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with digital product development and understanding of the integration of digital products within the Schwab ecosystem.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Financial Services Background: Knowledge of financial services regulations, especially pertaining to retirement.
  • Experimentation: Experience with experiment-driven product development, hypothesis testing, and rapid learning from data.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, writing user stories in Gherkin language, and familiarity with regulated environments including legal and compliance considerations.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with MS Project, MS Visio, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, JIRA, Confluence, Tableau, Adobe Analytics, Splunk, Optimizely, A/B Testing, and MABL is a plus.

Compensation: The target hiring compensation range for this role is $43.80 to $48.67 an hour, based on several factors including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
