Our client’s Compensation Team is a key part of the Total Rewards division, serving as an in-house center of expertise. The team is responsible for designing and implementing compensation strategies and programs that align with the company’s business objectives. Job Summary:
The Senior Compensation Business Partner will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing compensation strategies to attract and retain top talent. This role involves consulting with business units, conducting in-depth market analyses, and leading key compensation projects to ensure programs remain competitive, equitable, and aligned with the client’s goals. The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, analytical expertise, and a proactive problem-solving mindset to navigate complex compensation challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Consulting (45%)
- Partner closely with the People Team to develop tailored compensation solutions for business units.
- Translate the company’s compensation philosophy into actionable strategies that support talent retention and business growth.
- Build trusted relationships through collaboration and consultation with stakeholders.
2. Analysis & Data Modeling (35%)
- Conduct job evaluations, benchmarking, and comprehensive market analyses to maintain competitive and equitable compensation programs.
- Develop and present complex analyses in a clear and actionable format for partners and stakeholders to drive informed decision-making.
3. Education & Communication (20%)
- Create impactful communication materials to enhance understanding of compensation programs across the organization.
- Educate People Teams, business units, and employees to facilitate meaningful and informed compensation conversations.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- 6+ years in Compensation Analyst, People Data Analyst, or Business Partner roles.
- 3–5 years of experience in data modeling, reporting, and consulting with business partners to deliver compensation solutions.
- 2+ years of experience developing training, presentations, and communication materials for compensation or related people programs.
Education:

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong technical expertise in data modeling, analysis, and reporting.
- Exceptional teamwork and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to extract actionable insights from complex data and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Proactive problem-solving and adaptability in ambiguous environments.
- Strong understanding of compensation principles, practices, and legislative considerations impacting Total Rewards.
- Business consulting and project management skills.
- Data visualization experience is a plus.
Working Conditions:

Hybrid work environment: 2 days per week in the client’s San Francisco HQ office.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $60.80 to $67.56 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
