Aquent has an EXCITING opportunity for a UX Writer/Content Designer in Toronto, Ontario, Canada!
Please note that this is a hybrid position. You will be expected to be able to work on-site 2-3/days a week at our client’s office in Toronto. For this reason, we will only consider candiates that live in or can commute to the office. Relocation is not permitted for this role.
In addition, to be considered for this role, you must:
- Be authorized to work in Canada
- Not require sponsorship of any kind during the duration of the assignment. No C2C is allowed for this position
- Be able to showcase your work through case studies and/or portfolio.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work within their squad (Interaction Designer, Visual Designer, Content Designer, Design Research and Manager), to research and identify the client’s problem
- Create and evaluate potential solutions
- Create, test and translate the content
- Support their cross-functional partners: product managers, project managers, business analysts, developers and quality assurance teams while designing and building the solution
Education, Experience and Skill Requirements:
- Deep knowledge of the design process
- Excellent synthesis skills to deliver messages efficiently
- The ability to create content that increases client engagement
- Strong collaboration skills
- A curious, strategic, and analytical mindset;
- A natural leader self-starter with solid time management and presentation skills
- Experience designing content-first and comfortable working on multiple projects
- Interest in developing other design skills
- Content experience in digital product (UX writing)
- Demonstrated ability to edit to the main client message
- Experience working in Agile project management environments
- Understanding of Interaction design, Visual Design
- Experience writing in English and French
- Interaction & Visual Design Experience
- Experience with usability research (focus on content)
- Has worked with large design teams and multiple stakeholders (Product/Business/Technical partners)
- Figma, Confluence, Jira experience
- Has worked on content strategy projects
- Previous experience in UX Writing/Content Design in the banking or finance industries strongly preferred. Furthermore, any experience with the online banking/credit experience is strongly preferred.
Portfolio Requirements:
- Your portfolio should demonstrate your abilities in UX Writing/Content Design. The portfolio samples must show your design process (not just finished screens).
The target hiring compensation range for this role is C$ 44.99 to C$ 49.99/hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
