Start Date:

Our large high-tech client is looking for a UX Writer to join their Product & Design team. In this Consultant role, you will create new and better experiences across client services. The focus of your work will be on commerce and subscriptions – reducing friction across how customers purchase and bundle their experiences with one another. In this role, you’ll be in charge of interface copy across checkout experiences, products, and the next wave of service offerings.
What You Will Do
The UX Writing arm of the Design team works on all client services, including ones that are currently available and ones that are just barely being imagined. As a UX Writer focused on Commerce and Subscriptions, you’ll be responsible for many things, including:
- Shaping the tone, language, and design system for cross-product experiences.
- Working on feature development, naming, user flows, product logic, and education.
- Contributing to and implementing style guides and shared nomenclature across services.
- Converging customer goals, business requirements, and brand values.
- Boiling down complex systems into coherent, concise, and compelling interface copy.
- Collaborating with fellow designers to uncover and solve UI challenges.
- Addressing feedback and improving the performance of content.
- Spending time with QA and Localization teams to ensure content appears properly for every audience.
- Working with cross-functional partners and senior leadership to understand the boundaries of what’s possible and push from there.
What You Will Bring
- Experience writing for product experiences, particularly commerce or checkout flows
- Interest in the current and future states of payments and subscriptions, locally and globally.
- An unrelenting passion for user-focused product experiences.
- A commitment to upholding privacy and security through an approachable voice.
- Ability to advocate for the best user experiences while attuning language to meet
- Understanding of the end-to-end experience and how UX copy threads throughout.
- Astute at integrating feedback from product, marketing, engineering, and other cross-functional teams.
- Can develop and represent a clear point of view, and remain flexible enough to adjust when needed.
- Enough fluency in design applications to effectively collaborate on wireframes and flows
- Knowledge of functional specs and the ways to provide feedback that influences requirements
- A mixture of left- and right-brained writing, from storytelling to systematic thinking.
- Willingness to propose what’s right only after exploring why everything else might be wrong.
- Experience working closely with legal teams to ensure they’re expressing themselves following relevant policies and procedures.
- A range of abilities to develop something from scratch, edit existing copy, or attune language to existing patterns.
- Long-term thinking paired with quick action.
- Confident in prioritizing and managing several projects simultaneously.
- Adept at delivering passionate and impactful presentations at all levels of an organization.
- An inexhaustible attention to detail.
- Knowledge of and excitement about evolving the ecosystem of hardware, software, and services
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $75.96 to $84.41 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
