As a UX Designer on the Saves & Lists team within Maps, you will be responsible for designing core place saving and list creation functionality and experiences within Maps on mobile across Android and iOS.
Responsibilities:
- Create intuitive and delightful experiences that help users save, organize, and recall their personal places with ease.
- Analyze user research data, A/B testing results, and user feedback to inform design decisions created in partnership with product management.
- Use existing patterns and components, as well as developing new ones where necessary.
- Partner with engineering to arrive at solutions within known technical constraints.
- Deliver UX prototypes for UX research and testing
- Deliver design specifications to engineering to support productionization of new features
- Create aesthetically excellent work aligned with the Maps brand
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in UX design, with at least 2+ years designing for mobile consumer applications.
- A strong portfolio showcasing your design process and experience creating user-centered designs for mobile applications.
- Expertise in using Figma
- Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing.
- Familiarity with accessibility guidelines
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in or experience with mapping or geospatial-related applications is a plus.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $60.13 to $66.81 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
