Our top retail client in Canada is seeking a Copywriter with a passion for retail and storytelling to add to their team. This person will be writing for one of their brands (sporting goods) at their Calgary office. This is a part-time opportunity with average of 25-30 hours / week (hours may vary a bit week to week). Must be able to attend a weekly virtual Copy Team meeting and also meet once / month onsite in Calgary, so only local candidates will be considered. Candidates with agency and/or retail experience are highly desired! 

The copywriter will be required to create engaging, on-brand, omni-channel content including digital landing pages, emails, digital banner ads and social posts. Will also edit and refine e-commerce and stakeholder requests into customer-facing copy using their brand’s tone of voice, ensuring ensure copy style guides and best practices are adhered to. You will also collaborate with designers, studio and project managers through the review process and feedback stages. 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of digital copywriting experience (landing pages, emails, social copy and digital banner ads)
  • Agency / retail experience highly desired
  • Portfolio / writing samples required
  • Excellent ad-writing skills and a good grasp of CP style, spelling and grammar.
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to attend a virtual weekly meetings and an in-person monthly copy meeting.
  • Excellent time management skills are a must
  • Sports-oriented candidates preferred, but not required
