This Assistant Website Manager will support the development and implementation of digital strategies across content, shopping tools, and marketing campaigns. This role aims to ensure a seamless online research and shopping experience and closely collaborates with creative teams, marketing, UX, data, and analytics teams to optimize the customer journey from discovery to purchase.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills, an understanding of website strategy, digital marketing, and the digital creative process, as well as a passion for enhancing website performance and user experience. Additional expertise in user testing, search engine optimization (SEO), experience with shopping tools in the automotive industry, and CGI asset creation are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the digital customer experience strategy across key digital channels, including the .com website and CGI asset development.
  • Define the features and functionality necessary to effectively communicate the product and brand story.
  • Manage day-to-day processes and timelines, coordinating with production and creative agencies to ensure timely launches.
  • Lead several external agency teams responsible for executing the digital strategy, ensuring alignment with brand goals.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing colleagues and internal business partners to continually improve the website and drive key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Advocate for the user by implementing industry best practices, usability research, and customer insights throughout the design and development process.
  • Regularly review analytics reporting and provide actionable insights for ongoing digital optimization, including A/B testing and Test/Target initiatives.
  • Conduct usability studies, competitive reviews/audits, and benchmarking studies to drive website improvements.
  • Oversee content strategy and management and asset creation for the development of overview pages and shopping tools.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Deep understanding of user experience (UX) design and digital marketing best practices.
  • Familiarity with online shopping tools and content management systems.
  • Background in search engine optimization (SEO) and experience with online shopping tools and content management systems.
  • Technical aptitude to grasp complex issues and communicate effectively with technology teams and designers.
  • Experience with usability testing, A/B testing, and translating user insights into actionable site improvements.
  • Strong analytical skills, capable of digesting site metrics and recommending enhancements.
  • Experience with CGI asset creation to support digital content needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications or a related field.
  • 3+ years of digital marketing or product management experience working on high-traffic consumer-facing websites.

This is a hybrid position. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without a sponsorship, and must currently be local to the Warren, Michigan location.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $110k-$115K. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
